RE: Ohio income tax

You have to pay OH state income tax on the 12 months your were an Ohio resident. You were never a FL resident. Ask your friend if he went on vacation from Ohio to Florida for a month would he only have to pay Ohio state income tax for 11 months. -Tom

RE: Shortcut route 19 in West Virginia

19 is built to interstate grade standards. It is now all 4 lanes and an easy route that will save you $$$. There are 2 Walmarts on 19. We often overnight at the Summerville one. 19 crosses one of the highest bridges in the US. It spans the New River. If you have time stop at the bridge overlook. In the Spring the New River is one of the great rafting rivers and in the Fall (Saturday (October 18, 2008) they close the bridge so base jumpers can parachute off the bridge. We'll be going down from Pittsburgh October 29th. -Tom The New River Gorge Bridge carries U.S. Highway 19 over the New River and the CSX railroad at a height of 876 feet (267 m), making it the highest vehicular bridge in the Americas, and the second-highest in the world. (Before the 2004 opening of the Millau Viaduct in France, it was the highest in the world.) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/11/New_River_Gorge_Bridge.jpg/800px-New_River_Gorge_Bridge.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5f/NewRiverGorgeBridgeSpansWV.jpg/365px-NewRiverGorgeBridgeSpansWV.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/ff/NRGfromair.jpg/800px-NRGfromair.jpg http://www.officialbridgeday.com/photo_gallery/images/bd_gallery%20(16).jpg height=640 width=480

RE: Avoid Front Royal, VA!

I was there on 9/23. You can either park in the Cracker Barrel parking lot or on the sides or rear of the Walmart building. Front Royal is RV friendly and always has been because it is the northern entrance to the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. -Tom

RE: Shower now dumps to the Grey Tank, YEAH!

You have a specially built Suncruiser built for someone that was handicapped. Regular 37Gs do not have the shower going to the black tank. The roll in shower was only used in handicap coaches. -Tom

RE: St. Mary's Rock Tunnel - BlueRidge (Skyline Drive)

I drove the complete Skyline and Blue Ridge Parkway last Fall. Tunnels were not a problem. -Tom http://www.nauticom.net/www/tomnagy/DSC01820sm.JPG http://www.nauticom.net/www/tomnagy/DSC01775sm.JPG http://www.nauticom.net/www/tomnagy/100_0295sm.JPG http://www.nauticom.net/www/tomnagy/100_0296sm.JPG

RE: Verizon No-Contract, Month-to-Month EVDO data service

This requires the Nationwide Voice plan and many of us are still under a cheaper plan. My plan is the AMERICAS CHOICE PRI SHARE plan. Verizon is after all those that are not on the NATIONWIDE VOICE PLAN to sign a new contract under that plan. All promotions such as this are contingent on giving up your old plan and signing on to the more expensive NATIONWIDE VOICE PLAN. No good for those that want to keep our old AMERICAS CHOICE PRI SHARE voice plan. -Tom

RE: Best Starting Point on the Blue Ridge Parkway

I'm not making reservations to camp because I just want to drive until I don't want to drive. You will not need reservation after Labor Day. In fact many of the campgrounds on the BRP are first come, first served. If you have a Golden Age pass, campgrounds and the Skyline Drive entrance fee are 1/2 price. If you are a US citizen you can purchase a Golden Age/Senior Pass, if over 62 years of age, at the entrance to the Skyline Drive. The pass is a one time fee of $10. -Tom

RE: Best Starting Point on the Blue Ridge Parkway

This is a great drive especially in the Fall. We did it a year ago both the Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway end to end. I highly recommend it. Tunnels are no problem and road closures with detours will be clearly marked. -Tom http://www.nauticom.net/www/tomnagy/DSC01823sm.JPG

RE: Class A Prices

You must be miss-reading NADA. 2008 Tiffin Allegro 34TGA on a FRED is Low retail $88,500 Avg retail $106,620. 2008 Terra 34B on a Ford is Low retail $70,650 Avg retail is $85,120. Source: http://www.nadaguides.com -Tom Not misreading anything, have the print outs in front of me. I am not talking base model, but with options. As usual, no one on Rv.net can provide any real information or facts, just their opinions. Mod, you can close this one. Forget adding option. No one uses them. Proof is the dealer prices your quoted. -Tom

22.5" rims are rarely balanced and I have never had any balanced and never had an out of balance situation. They turn too slow for any out of balance to show itself. -Tom
